  1. first of all you would have a step up with a BM degree as you'll be eligible to enter graduate schemes and you can go really far.

otherwise look into other options as management can be entered in with most other degrees not necessarily through BM degree only.

How are you doing with Law at the moment, going for a Law degree and LLB may interest you. Law can also be taken with other subjects as well. I know someone who went to Coventry and took up a joint Business and Law degree with eligibility to gain a LLB. there is also interesting subjects like psychology, really whatever takes your fancy.

theres loads of degrees you can do. the best thing you can do is do what you feel is interesting, you feel comfortable doing and something you would enjoy - with hindsight of what you want to do as a career. have a look at some of the graduate scheme ads and even contact them to see what the requirements are. i'm sure not all want candidates who are doing strictly business.

take what your family said as a suggestion and do some homework. what you also don't want is to do as your family says and then mess up and blame them. I did well through my gcse's and then my family started getting involved in my life and I messed up my a-levels, my degree and even a fab job op which I said no to just cause the family said I had to come back every week if I decided to move which was too much to ask considering the journey.

sorry this is about you, like I said take on board your family's suggestion but do what you feel is just and right after having done some good research.

    good luck.

  2. Law degree. you could teach it, or lawyer, solicitor etc

  3. be a dentist... they are getting a fortune right now with all the demand! :)

  4. Here's some news. You don't HAVE to go to uni.

Added tot he fact the government will only fund you for 1 degree if you are not sure then maybe you should take a gap year or two?

This is your life, not your family's, you should think about what you want to do. You mentioned being a manager, but what kind of manager? Which industry?

You have a lot of options open to you with your A level choices, at uni you could do business, teaching, journalism, English, social sciences ... and loads more.

Have a look at some university prospectuses, go visit a couple and see if uni is the right choice for you at this time.

Just one thing, you have GCSE's not 'O' Levels.

  5. Take the Stamford Test, it suggests courses you can do at Uni. Don't worry about it too much there's plenty of people who have no idea what path to take. Here'e the link: http://www.ucas.com/students/beforeyouap...
