  1. "Accidentally" spike him so he's on crutches for a couple months. Or take steroids. If the school is testing for steroids, then dose his lunch with steroids. but I suppose you would think this is a bad answer. Bet anything I mentioned would work better than anything others have said.

  2.    HEY, yeah that happens me all of the time, i always have someone who wants to brake my records and wants to be faster..and the sad & weird thing is that they are not afraid to tell me and tell my coach...i really admire all of those who wants to be as good as me..but i don't take it bad because i know they want to be as good as me. wich is a good thing.  (for ur team)

i run a 4:47 mile and my running partner always wanted to beat me..my running partner was a college assistant coach(he was the guy i practiced more) anyways he was always wanted to beat me and he was always pushing.....

ur going to become better by pushing on each other and making yourself feel better then him...if u really like runnning and u want to be the BEST? well then u will trainn,(hard) and have positiveve attitude that will take u there...it worked for me and  since i haved  won several races and made it to state and finish top!!

so if u want to beat him, work around him....preassure him...make him feel that hes not as good as you, that u are....that the attitude for running!!!

if u need trainning go to a site like runnerworld.com to get more  info and trainning tips

i only told u this because pushing makes u better!!! hope you make it to varsity team!! good luck

and remember push but do not get injured!!!! its ganna make u slow insted of fast.....

and most of all as a fellow runner...i wish u luck and hope u get there follow ur dream's man!!!

  3. u just have to push ur self and practice hard and hope for the best

  4. increase your mileage by about 10% next week or run what mileage your doing now but go about 10 seconds faster each mile. in order to get faster you have to either increase distance or speed you can't do both that's how you get hurt. do some leg workouts like lunges and squats that way you can increase the force against the ground with less effort. it seems you guys are about even so you can even try to run with the kid during long runs he might start with the top guys but that doesn't mean he finishes with them.
