I'm going to be a freshman in the fall, and I really want to be involved in something at school, like a sport or club. I know about elective classes and stuff, but I want to do something extra-caricular aswell. I'm not an extremely athletic person (but I'm willing to work on that), and I want to be in something that's pretty simple, and where I can meet lots of people. Is there anything you could think of that I would be able to enter???

  1. im in the same situation as you. i am going to try field hockey because the coach said that most people who start to play it in freshman year have never played it. also i might try vollyball

  2. anyone can do anything if they try, im not sure about your school, but my is kinda small, basically if you show up, your on a team, well at least thats the way it is for ----Tennis, Golf, soccer, and hockey. So try a sport where you now it is easy to make a team, then you will have a chance to develop athletic skills.

For clubs and stuff, there are so many of them, or at least there is at my school.

Try: DECA if you have it at your school, its really fun, and you get to hang out with friends and stuff. DECA is basically marketing club, you do events, and get to travel, the next national competition is in Anahim Ca, anyway, its just fun.

another club is ultimate frisbee, this is a fun club, you just play the game.

If they don't have a club at your school, then just make one. Its easy, you have to talk to a counsolur, find a few people who want the club, and a teacher to be in charge, and then you basically have a club.

GOOD LUCK in high school, i wish you the best!!!!!!!!

  3. Well when I was a freshman last year, I joined the Cross-Country team. But that takes a ton of work, so you might want to work on that. And in our school, we had clubs every two weeks after school, and that was a good time too.

  4. I was in drama and speech and it was a ton of fun! you go around to different schools to compete (just like with sports) and get to meet a lot of really fun people. plus with drama and acting activities you get to really express yourself - and if you want to act like an idiot you might even get an award for it!
