HIV/AIDS in India. dream govt job....?

Youth, peak years of life is the cost some Psychology and Social work professionals paid in dream of getting secure govt. job.

Most of whom was apponted after advertisement in newspaper and after performing well in the interview. Interview pannel include medical supritendent of that hospital, departmental head and other board members.

Most of the guys who are working since 2002-03 or before are competent, experienced and dedicated. They don"t leave the job not because they are incompetent but they have desire to continue working in the same set up where they have invested there peak years and adjusted there life according to job and job timing. They want to continue doing public service.

But no body care for there service and commitment, most get harrased by hospital authorities, staff of respective state aids control societes, they get rough treatment from guys who are new recruits there, some are as new as joining of 2006 and 2007.

As a social worker you understand about systems and organizations in particular and the nature of bureaucracies.  In order to effect change in these systems you will need to address policy, power, structures and decision making.  This is only possible if you are organized.  You might want to look at how and to what extent you can organize and begin to place workers into the decision making process and policy process.

Today India is Governed by corrupt politicians and beurocrats. The IAS officers setteled at the post of Director of AIDS control socitey are more concerned about the commission earned by the advertisments and purchase of things required in the matter. They do not think about the rising graph od AIDS patients in the country. Now what we have to do is that - If we can convience a single man loved by many people regarding AIDS, then in return they can make atleast two people concern about this deadly desease. It will take a long span of time but in return it will surely give us numbers who are really awared about the AIDS. I am trying this way only and day by day the number is growing.
