HIV negative parents - risk of me having it?

Neither of my parents are HIV positive so what are the chances of me having it from birth?

  1. No chance, unless there is something you are not telling.


  2. Um, zero. HIV doesn't just come out of nowhere. It's not like diabetes or cancer. It has to come from somewhere.

  3. None unless you got a blood transfusion when you were born.

  4. I don't think thats the kind of thing you have to worry about unless your parents are HIV positive is it?

  7. This is rather a strange question! If BOTH your parents are HIV Negative, then why would you even consider there to be a risk of transmittance from them to you?

    If they aren't HIV + Then there is no risk of passing it on to you. HIV occurs by the transfer of  infected bodily fluids..blood, s***n, vaginal fluid, breast milk etc.

  11. It is not an inherited condition but an infective one. It is spread by exchange of bodily fluids, either during s*x or by things like needle sharing.
