  1. The police officer would only get aids if there was blood-to-blood contact. eg: the HIV-positive man has a cut in his mouth, and the spit lands on a cut either in the policeman's mouth or on any other part of his body. Although, this is an extremely rare form of contracting HIV. I was reading an article once and it said it was very unlikely that HIV-infected fluid (blood, sperm..) would give the other HIV-negative person (in this case the officer) aids. But it is still possible...

So, all in all, i think it is very very unlikely that the police officer contracted aids.

    hope this helps

  2. that's rubbish - you would need to drink buckets of someones saliva to catch HIV

  3. No word on the officer's health.  I live in the Dallas area, not even the local news has announced if he is positive.  Probably has something to do with with privacy issues.

    Hope he is okay tho.

  4. That's bad, but no, he's unlikely to catch the disease from the HIV positive man.

  5. it takes a bit to be for you now.just like hypititus...

  6. So if a mosquito draws blood from an HIV positive person then draws blood from a non infected person that would be a blood to blood connection yet the feds refuse to quarantine all that are HIV positive and require full information concerning past person contacts like any other contagious disease!  Why is that?
