Question:

HK45 vs USP 45 Tactical?

I am torn between an HK 45 and a USP 45 Tactical. If I get the USP I will have custom night sights installed (the HK45 comes with night sights), if I get the HK45 I will buy the threaded barrel. The difference between the two in price after modification is less than $50. I want the threaded barrel because I am buying a suppressor to go with it (all legal registered with the ATF). The USP has a 12 round mag vs. the HK45's 10 round mag and is been put through its paces by the military and law enforcement. The HK45 has a picatinny rail and is the latest in HK development. Both fit my hand wonderfully. I can only afford one (yeah I know, why not get both) so which one? And I just gotta say it in case anyone from HK read this, if they redesigned the USP frame for a picatinny rail I would be on that in a heart beat.

  1. I'd personally go for the HK45 - it's generally all round a better pistol.

The two rounds that you lose won't make a h**l of a lot of a difference in anything but pistol competitions.

Enjoy your new gun and can!

  2. the USP tactical has an accessory rail, a 1911 type rail iirc

  3. I like the HK45 a bit better.

  4. I own both.  They are both quite nice, however, for my duty carry sidearm, I prefer the USP, and I fitted mine with Trijicon Night Sights.  Though because I live in The People's Demokratik Republik of Kalifornia, I cannot own the one with the threaded barrel.  SUCKS!

Those are now reserved for Law Enforcement Only, so Private Security may not own those pistols.  I really wanted the SOCOM USP .45 too!

    Good Luck!

  5. i think you already know your answer . . .  go ahead and get the HK
