In the News on RTE Television the Other Day it said there is the Possibility of a Visit to Ireland in the Near Future. It was talked about by The Queen and President Mary Mc Aleese in Northern Ireland and has been before on Several Occasions in the past.My Question is do you think She would be well Received by many People or do you think some would still hold a Grudge. There is some nasty People still around that can cause trouble and have not given up the Fight, like the Continuity IRA and Real IRA . These are Breakaway Groups from the Provisional IRA. The IRA splits every so often when the main Body begins to Quieten down , and have been doing so ever since the Foundation of the Irish Republic when Original Sinn Fein Formed Fianna Fail or The Soldiers of Destiny Party under Eamonn De Valera and the IRA Continued on their own and continued to Split down through the Years. I think it would be a Good thing to do on Her Part, and She is made very Welcome. So what do you think.

  1. There is always a chance that some time in the future H M The Queen may visit Ireland some times these visits are kept quite until they happen for reasons of Security

  2. Yes, I would like to see HM Queen Elizabeth visit Ireland and I know she would be made feel welcome by the majority. Of course there will always be the few who will protest....as usual.

I watched the Maundy Thursday Ceremony from Armagh Cathedral on TV this morning. It was said that The Queen had personally chosen Armagh this year.

President Mary Mc Aleese was intervieved on either radio or TV today and she is looking forward to a Royal visit, sooner rather than later.

Isn't it about time that the past was laid to rest. Life is soooo short. It should not be wasted . I believe the groups you speak of should fall in behind the rest of the crowd who finally saw the light. They should have done that years ago. It can be annoying to see them all smiles on the news when one thinks of all the terrible things that happened in the name of freedom. There was nothing to be gained from bombing and killing of the many innocent people who were just going about their daily tasks. Not in this day and age...Not when it was always possible to sit down and talk. Planting bombs and sneaking away to protect themselves didn't take a lot of courage....as a matter of fact they were cowardly acts. Talking face-to-face about a grievances has always been the way to go and finally the penny dropped........Too late for many, may they rest in peace, but at least the future has a chance. Anyone who still maintains that they are fighting for 'The Cause' will be held in disgust by the people because we will know it is just a cover for gangsters and they will be treated thus.

So yes...I think HM Queen Elizabeth will be made welcome when she visits Ireland..
