Is there any help that get you pushed up on the list for Public housing like....section 8...rental asst ...Can you Qualify quicker if you suffer from depression or other medical problems?

yes get help from doctors  and homeless  shelters. also see what the shelters can do for you, what state are you in?

its the new techno savvy homeless huh.....no i dont think there is any way to get up on the list.  There are other people that are probably in worse shape than you and dont have a computer to ask stuff like this and if they are above the list they get helped first.

H.U.D. is tricky normally takes like 18 - 24 months to get on the list but might be better say you got children or a wavier program like MH / MR look into that based on your medical card and get somebody to hook u up.

you got internet access but no bed to sleep in?...if you are at a friends house just ask him to let you crash for a few days....and then let the days turn into weeks...then months...when he calls you roomie you can officially move in

Library, where you are using the Computer, will keep you warm. At the end of your rope? try the Lord Jesus,  Church where it is warm , and hang on, one day at a time, there are shelters for the homeless, during the day,they search for work, any kind. You will be prayed for....... seek help for your medical problems in Hospital ER it is warm there......... those who seek shall find.....

If you are homeless and have mental problems go to the hospital and tell them you are at the end of your rope and need help. They will help you that day.

Please go to a shelter, they have resources that can help you get on your feet.  You would be on a priority list, it will take sometime to find housing, but it is better than the streets.  They can help you find jobs and get medical care for your condition.  I am so sorry that you are in that predicament.  I wish you only the best.

If you are clinically/professionally diagnosed, most definitely let them be aware of that condition.  If possible, get written recommendations, e-mails, phone calls made for you from any and all your medical providers.  This should help as well.  Also, keep applying and visiting in person (if at all possible) the office of your worker.  You need to be put in the category of a "hardship case".  If things work as they do in my state, this should put you up toward the top of the list for housing.  God Bless.  You're in my prayers.

yes you can sign up for emergency housing.  It still may take up to a month but its better than waiting a year.. try to go to the salvation army. they could help you to. good luck to you

no in all reality you need to have an address to receive government help. section 8 is for people who are living somewhere but can't afford the rent rental assistance is for people who have a place to live already and could pay the rent or security deposit and the months to fallow. if you suffer from a mental illness you still need an address so they could prove that you stay somewhere. do you have a friend,family you could stay with until you could apply receive mail and they could write you a letter stating it is not a permanent place for you to live and they can't afford to feed you or clothe you. sounds harsh but that is what needs to be done.

I cannot believe how mean you people are. Have you ever heard of public libraries? They have things like books and computers for everyone to use.
