  1. Explore!!!!! Go to Mongkok and Causeway Bay

  2. There are lots of things to recommend and if you want, visit Ocean Park for family packed action. Go shopping at Temple Street Night Market and Ladies market for inexpensive goods. Go to the Peak by taking the peak tram. Take the star ferry that serve btw Central and Tsim Sha Tsui. Go to the Olympic Park at Tsim Sha Tsui to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympic etc. Actually there are many things to recommend and you have to state more details in order to give you more details. Anyway hope you and your family have a wonderful journey by then.

  3. HUMID!HUMID!HUMID!!!!!!don't even think about wearing t-shirts, not even sleeveless shirts, bring tube tops, if you're a guy, you can always go topless.

    but...

food, clothing, karaoke, a lot of walking (which means weight loss), um...

that's all i could think of now. what do you want to know exactly?

  4. It depends on how long you and your family will be staying there. There are lots of things to see and do in Hong Kong, whether you'll be in Kowloon, Hong Kong Island or the New Territories.

In Kowloon, you can stroll around Tsim Sha Tsui to see the harbor and go malling and shopping Harbor City, which is a really huge shopping complex made up of 3 malls. Then there are the many restaurants as well as the museums. The space museum and art museum are near each other and worth a visit. You can also stroll around Kowloon Park and see their mini zoo. Other attractions are:

    - Night Market on Temple Street

    - Ladies Market in Mong kok

    - Bird Market and nearby flower market also in Mong kok

There are many attractions on Hong Kong Island.

    - The Peak: highest point in Hong Kong that has a very nice bird's eye view as well as having restaurants and shops, a nature trail, and Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.

    - Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Garden: a very beautiful zoo and garden

    - Victoria Park in Causeway Bay

    - The main branch of the Hong Kong Public Library which has a nice gift shop on the ground floor

    - Tin Hau temple

    - Stanley Market and nearby Murray House

On the outlying islands of the New Territories, you have:

    - Hong Kong Disneyland

    - Giant Buddha at Po Lin Monastery

    - Ocean Park

There are also other attractions seaside or on the water like the pink dolphins at the Pearl River Delta, or the Jumbo Floating Restaurant in Aberdeen. For more ideas and information, as well the latest happenings and promos in Hong Kong, go to this website -

  5. ocean park [hoi yang gong yuen]

    DISNEYLANDDD :D

  6. 0mg why do people continue to ask this question without searching hong kong first... soo aggrevating!

  7. Go hit the beach at Repulse Bay and check out Stanley and the other street markets.

  8. I recommend going to The Peak. It is very beautiful up there. I went up it, and it's fun for all ages!

There are some shops and gelato once you get to the top. If your family likes animals, go to Ocean Park. There you can see some panda, jellyfish, ride rides, and much more! Me and one of my friends from China went there together and it was a blast, even though it was raining. The view is beautiful.

Another thing you can do is go to the Wanchai Market, or the Women's Market. Here it's like a flea market with a bunch of vendors selling a lot of different kinds of cute things. It seems to go on forever!

You should also take the boat that goes across Victoria Harbour in the Star Ferry. Even though that it doesn't last long, it is an experience in itself. Plus, if you go at night, it is very beautiful.

I think somewhere around Victoria Harbour is a mall and a clocktower of some sort. That mall has a really good restraunt, Dan Ryan's, where you can eat some really good steaks, if you are sick of Chinese food.

I also went to the Hong Kong Space Musuem, which is just across the street from the Peninsula. It is a really nice area where kids can play around. They have a life sized space shuttle there!

I hope I helped you out! Have fun in Hong Kong!

  9. Where to eat

A uniquely Hong Kong-style eatery starting to make waves elsewhere in Asia is the cha chaan teng (茶餐廳), literally "tea cafe", but offering fusion fast food that happily mixes Western and Eastern fare: innovations include noodles with Spam, stir-fried spaghetti and baked rice with cheese. Usually a wide selection of drinks is also available, almost always including the popular tea-and-coffee mix yuenyeung (鴛鴦), and perhaps more oddities (to the Western palate) like boiled Coke with ginger or iced coffee with lemon. Orders are usually recorded on a chit at your table and you pay at the cashier as you leave.

Cooked food centres (Dai Pai Dong 大牌檔) provide economic solutions to diners, and they are popular with local citizens. There are many cooked food centres in various districts. The cooked food centre in Sha Kok Estate, Sha Tin is easily accessible by KCR. It is adjacent to Sha Tin Wai Railway Station. It is highly recommended to tourists, as this is where you will find true Hong Kong cuisine and experience a local's way of life.

Barbecue (BBQ) is a popular local pastime. Many areas feature free public barbecue pits where everybody roasts their own food, usually with barbeque forks. It's not just sausages and burgers - the locals enjoy trying a variety of food at BBQ, such as fish, beef meatballs, pork meatballs, chicken wings, and so on. A good spot is the southern part of HK Island. Every beach is equipped with many free BBQ spots. Just stop by a store, buy meat, drinks and BBQ equipment. The best spots are Shek’O (under the trees at the left hand side of the beach) and Big Wave Bay.

Wet markets are still prevalent. Freshness is a key ingredient to all Chinese food, so frozen meat and vegetables are frowned upon, and most markets display freshly butchered beef and pork (with entrails), live fish in markets, and more exotic shellfish, frogs, turtles and snails. Maids who cook for their employers usually go to the market everyday to buy fresh ingredients, just like the restaurants.

Supermarkets include Wellcome, Park N Shop, CRC Shop. Speciality markets catering to Western tastes include CitySuper and Great. 24 hour convenience stores 7-Eleven and Circle K can be found anywhere.
