Question:

HOPE Scholarship & Homeschoolers?

I am a homeschooler and am applying for the HOPE scholarship for college. Home-schooled Georgia students who score in the 85 percentile on the SAT or ACT would be eligible for the HOPE scholarship, does this mean that you score in the same range as 85 percent of students do (or better), or does it mean you score a 2040 out of 2400? Dumb question, but I just wanted to be sure.

  1. It means you score better than 85% of all Georgia students who took the SAT or ACT that particular year.  Since scores may vary from year to year, the score you would need to achieve would not be the same from one year to the next.

    All the best.
