so theres 6-7 billion people in the world? i dont know the average of how many people f**t per minute but every few days theres power of a few nuclear bombs being farted... global warming is true after all!!!!

I was just thinking about this the other day. We are so concerned about cows farting, but what about humans??? There should be some kind of tax on farting...we need to reduce our carbon footprint after all. One other thing... I live near water and if in 20 years I'm not under the sea I'm going to be really pissed. Right now the projections seem so dire, so if they don't come true this will all be one big lie like Y2K.

i dont know if you wanted a real answer but here it goes.

farting has pretty much no impact on global warming because the amount of methane is relatively small and methane breaks down fairly quickly in the atmosphere (about 5-10 years).

human emissions of greenhouse gasses have caused the enhancing of the greenhouse effect leading to warming. its simple physics. there are some details such as feedback but human farts are still way to small to matter.

PS since your dad knows everything can you please ask him how the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum was caused and if we are repeating past mistakes.

When the Vikings went to Greenland about 1000 AD our Earth was having a warm spell and the coast was relatively warm as compared with later years.  It is warming again.

However, today's warming is just the beginning of a much greater warming.

We live in a world with a rapidly increasing population which is, in turn, rapidly becoming more and more consumerist, consuming products usually relying upon the burning of fossil fuels  to harvest the raw materials and manufacture the products, before they are delivered to us wrapped in chopped-down trees.

Global warming is caused by higher than normal solar activity of the sun. The sun is not starting to cool.

I f**t many times a day!  Anyone who thinks global warming isn't real is either inbred retarded, ignorant, or in denial.  Global warming has happened many times before in Earth's history.  It's been proven over and over again.  It's happening again, and may very well be the only thing that saves us from the next ice age that will hit when the super volcano erupts.
