  1. The zune software is pretty accurate at identifying song details, even with songs downloaded off of the internet with no name.

  2. play them, identify the song n then rename them

  3. Sadly, I don't think there're any available programmes that identify and name your mp3 files for you.. You probably have to go through them one by one and change the names individually....

  4. The mp3s' file names are track1 and track2 etc. however mp3s all come with things called ID3 tags which list things like artist and title. Not all of these are filled in depending on where you got the mp3's and what program was used to encode them. If you right click on one of the mp3s and go to properties and then the details tab all the ID3 information will be there and hopefully will have been filled in. The details of how to get there after you click on properties may be different if you're not using windows vista but you can still find it if you look.

Also while there's no identification service there are some programs which are good for organising mp3s.

  5. if it doesn't have that info attached then you'll have to listen to it and look up the song if you don't know it

  6. Windows Media Player should already do that if it is an authentic mp3

  7. very slowly

  8. Right click the file and go to properties, and edit the name. If u are putting it on an MP3 player and it still shows up as track. Browse ur mp3 from your computer and edit the tracks on the mp3 player
