HOW CAN I OPEN THE REGISTRY IN WINDOWS XP??

when i click run and type regedit an error statement says "regedit is not a valid win32 application"

i have some bugs i need to remove as soon as possible but i cant open the registry :[

  1. Try running it from safe mode without networking. If it still doesn't work, I recommend opening up a dos prompt, and a system file check to rebuild XP's structure and start repairs. Type command in run, then sfc/ scannow and let this run. Restart and if the regedit command still doesn't work... time for a restore :(. Good luck!


  2. Try regedt32 in the run box, but it sounds like you may have a virus/malware that is affecting some of the programs. You might have to run this from safe mode.  

  3. download the ccleaner.com


  4. your windows crupted. you should reinstall windows

    if you do not want to install you can fix errors by typing this command in run

    sfc /scanonce

    its required windows xp cd, it will fix errors

    but i say you reinstall windows and scan your pc with antivirus its better solution

    if still doesnt work

    re-install os.
