  1. Dry Shampoo. (Batiste is a good one)

Try not to use products that are oil-based either as this creates grease and also dont fiddle around with your hair as every time you touch your hair it makes it more greasy.

  2. Greasy hair is due to a build-up of the natural secretion ('grease' or, more correctly, sebum) from glands in the scalp (sebaceous glands). The sebum passes into the hair follicle and spreads upwards and over the hair shaft. It is not absorbed into the shaft.

The feel of the hair depends on the volume of grease present. At certain, times, such as puberty. there is a marked change in sebum production due to higher levels of male hormones. At such times the hair may become more greasy and need to be washed more often. Inadequate removal of the grease makes the problem worse.

The scalp produces much the same amount of grease whatever the hair style. Since very short hair offers a smaller area over which the grease can spread, greasiness can be especially troublesome on short hair.

Not shampooing often enough may result in a build-up of grease and material - environmental dirt and bacteria - on the hair. Perspiration plus grease may result in lank strands of hair which look unpleasant and may be unmanageable.

It is not possible to stop the glands from producing grease. Grease production is affected by diet, and other factors that we can control.

The answer to how to stop, prevent, avoid, get rid of and even perhaps cure greasy hair is to wash it as often as necessary to keep it clean and in good condition. Too-frequent washing can encourage the production of grease. The best shampoos for greasy hair are specially formulated to remove natural grease without damaging the hair shaft.

    Hope this helped=)

  3. Avoid shampooing and conditioning on the roots of your hair. So when you shampoo and condition only apply a quarter size amount to your hair from the ends of your ears and then down.

  4. that's the problem !!!

    don't wash everyday,

my mom is a hairdresser and the only thing she MAKES SURE i do is only wash my hair everyother day! washing it everyday strips the natural oils and produces even more oil!

  5. spray your hair with a lightweight hairspray the alcohol in the hairspray will absorb the greasiness and make your hair easier to deal with also you could try using a shampoo especially for your hair type, pantene pro-v and vive pro have some great ones at pretty affordable prices. also if your hair is naturally oily then dont use conditioner it just adds to it! hope this helps!!

  6. Lots Of Conditioner Works!

  7. dont wash your hair on the days you not doing anythink you want to look nice for because when you wash your hair to much you loose all your natural oils so your hair makes more than you need.

also if you condition your hair dont rub the conditioner into the scalp.

  8. I had the same problem! I bought dry hair shampoo in Tesco for around £2.50 per bottle. You just spray it on between washes, like hairspray (no water needed) , and give it a good comb and your hair is all fresh, clean and smells wonderful! does the trick!

    Hope i helped!

  9. I had the same problem. wash it every other day and try maybe head and shoulders shampoo i hear that works great and use less conditioner. Hope that helps.

  10. I've had greasy hair my whole life. The best thing I would do is to wash it with Dish soap occasionally.  Don't do this more than once a week. But use conditioner afterwards because otherwise it's hard to brush through. If you use conditioner, don't apply it the the scalp, just do the hair that is farther away from your scalp.

  11. use batiste dry shampoo, i can't live without it.

  12. Obvious answer would be to cut it all off, but you don't want to do that. Head and shoulders is good for greasy hair.

  13. try using Bumble & Bumble dry shampoo powder. it is for greasy hair. basically it works the same way that powder does for your face. when your facy gets shiny, you dab powder on it. well, B&B has powder you can put on your scalp that will soak up the grease. that way you dont have to wash your hair everyday and it wont look greasy.

  14. dnt wash it everyday, thats might by why its greasy all the time!

i use to wash it everyday bt the hairdresser told me not to!

now i wash it every other day!

  15. Use less conditioner. Also, I have a friend, who has greasy hair. And she just straightens it to get rid of the grease.

    Hope I helped!!! =)

  16. If your hair is anything like mine, it runs on a very strict schedule. I have to wash it at the same time everyday. Even if it's 20 minutes after, it starts to get greasy. So if you aren't already, get your hair on a schedule.
