First; go to the setting menu, the setting app will have a cog or a spanner logo,scroll down, click on about phone, then click the software update, your phone will now search for an available update, select the software update check button. If an update is available, your device will be asked if it wishes to install it. If you say yes then the system will download and install the new software and reboot.

NB: Your device would require a wifi connection to search for update, we also recommend downloading the software over wifi because the file size can be large.
