  1. By not washing enough,,,

  2. Well, at school and out of the house, mostly. Kids have the most interesting conversations. Linda and Margaret might be talking to Lucille about how last night Lucille got to perform in a Native American Pow-Wow or how Margaret got to spend time with her Babushka and play and read and sing old folksongs.

If you go in a classroom (I work in one) when the teacher has them share what they did last weekend that's when a lot of the kids learn about their culture. Jimmy went to his big brother's bar-mitzvah, & Lester got to fly on an airplane to visit his grandparents back in Brazil.

Although racism starts at home and school, more culture & uniting is developed at school. Yes, racism doesn't always start at home and there are many homeschooled kids who learn culture from their parents.

  3. from finding out about their country, visiting different areas of it... from their parents.
