Get some washing baskets or boxes and put washing with washing, make-up with make-up etc etc till you've got it all divided up - put the baskets outside the room.  Make bed, vacuum and polish, then take in baskets one at a time and pit the stuff away.  Have fun - put on some good music too.

The way is simple, cheer up, stop looking at it and just do it!

1) Strip bed & put sheets in washer.  2) Get 3 large baskets.  One will be for "trash", the other will be for stuff your not sure about and the last one for stuff that you know you will keep.  Don't get too caught up in thinking about each item.  As soon as the "trash" is filled, get rid of it immediately.  3) Clean & vacuum the room.  4) Remake bed w/clean linens 5) Put stuff away from the "keep" basket.  6) Take a breather & then re-think the "iffy" basket.  And yes, PUT ON SOME GOOD MUSIC before you begin.

Okay here is what you do,

Get a Trash bag and climb over that mountain to the back of the room and everything that you don't want throw it away. It doesn't help to keep all of that. Then get some shelves like ones that stand up and some nice baskets and organize your things fold all of your clothes and keep it clean.

And if all else fails call a maid.

Start at the door and work your way in. Pick up each piece and determine if your kids can still wear it or not. Clean away a space for keepers and put the rest in a trash bag. You obviously have a storage problem. Get space bags and put out of season clothes and plush toys in them. Everything else hang up and put in bins for easy access. And from now on, if you buy something, you have to throw out the exact same amount. Two new tops, two old tops have to go. Take your time and don't stress.
