  1. ive never owned one before but maybe you could run some hot water through it?

  2. Try putting boiling water in it and leaving it there for a while.

If that fails get white vinegar and rinse it with that.

White vinegar is very good at cleaning at hard to get places.

  3. Get out the hair dryer...  put some heat to it.  It will start melting the chocolate.  Then turn the machine back on and it should start to flow again...  then clean it properly.

Dad at 52 is not exactly senile yet - he just didn't know... (smiles) forgive him please for he knew not what he did...  heehee

    Good Luck

    Hottttttttt  Doggggggggg

  4. Have you tried turning it on again?

I've never had one, but i presume it needs to be warm to keep the chocolate flowing - so if you turn it on again, the heat will remelt the chocolate and then you can clean it as intended.

  5. Tagger has the best answer. Since  you don't really know anything about the equipment you can't mess anything up with his suggestion. good luck

  6. get as much of it off without breaking the machine...then get some really hot water in your kitchen sink and turn the machine upside down and hold it in the water

usually they come apart so if this one does...take out the corkscrew etc and put them in the water separately

whatever you do, don't immerse the motor (bottom of the fountain) in the water or its bye bye to the machine

you'll need to empty the water once most of the chocolate it off, so you can give it a proper clean with another sink full of hot water...this time round use some dishwashing liquid.

DO NOT TURN THE MACHINE BACK ON!!!!! it will only ruin the machine

  7. Chocolate could only get well-cleaned by hot water.. so try to put it in a natural warm place for a while to make the chocolate melt.. try under the sunshine..  it will softened the chocolate. then try to take the chocolate as much as possible, using a rubber spatula, so that you won't cause any scratch on it..separate the outer part from the machine part and you could try to soak it in hot water to get it clean.. Good luck!

  8. Use a hair dryer to remelt the chocolate and also place it on the blacktop driveway in the sun.....don't pour boilg water into it....could melt internal parts and cause a potential short circut. tagger

  9. Try hot hot water which should melt the chocolate and turn it back into liquid so you can wipe it all out

  10. I am so sorry that I don't have the answer... but good luck!! lol

  11. you have to take it apart. i dont know which one you have so i cant tell you how to do it but once you have you clean all the separate parts. some are dishwasher safe but some aren't if you dont know you should just wash it by hand to be on the safe side. i have one and at first i thought it would be really hard to clean it but its easier once you take it apart. good luck

  12. eat it

  13. Maybe try heating it up so the chocolate melts again? Then you can wash it off...or eat it :D

I'd choose the latter :D mmm chocolate

  14. Try reheating it, this may take some time but just keep the bottom OFF for the fountain part.

If it is a cheaper model, fill a sink with really hot water and put it in upside down so the electric part is NOT in the water.
