  1. personally i think its all different fro everyone i just sleep all day long and all night long and im back on track usually the next day but your head always thinks ur on a diff time for a while but at least u can function better after a full day of sleep

  2. Stay awake until it is night time. If you can't do that then make sure you sleep when it is night time even if you sleep during the day.

  3. Get as much sun as you can during the day.  Stay active.  Drink lots of water.

I've found that an over-the-counter sleep aid for one or two nights helps to put me back on schedule.

  4. Hi, just take a strong sleeping pill, it will help.

    El Pinguino

  5. If you're in Norway, you're probably facing a pretty big issue because of the light levels!  Even in the south right now, daylight lasts until 10 or 11 pm.

Your body clock is surprisingly driven by the light level, and it can make it extremely difficult to get to sleep in the summer.  In the winter, they make special alarm clocks with big full-spectrum lights that simulate sunrise when it's still dark out, but they don't have such handy gadgets for creating nightfall before it gets dark!

So what can you do?  Watch the time closely.  It can reach 8 or 9 before you have any idea!  Keep an eye on the clock and think about what you would normally be doing at that time.  Try to eat meals at the right hours, and start thinking about sleep at the right time.  If you're inside and have dark curtains, pull them closed around 9:00 to make it dark.

When it's time to head to bed, do it even if you're not tired.  A glass of wine just before can help you start to feel a little drowsy.  If you can't make the room dark, wear an eye mask!  This is extremely important, because if you don't feel tired, you probably won't be able to sleep in the light.  If it's noisy, consider wearing ear plugs.  Once you're in a dark, quiet situation, try to clear your head.  Lie quietly for a few minutes and try to stop yourself from getting caught up in lots of thoughts.  If after 10-15 minutes you still feel wide awake, sit in bed and do something quiet and passive like reading.  After a while try to sleep again.

And most importantly, force yourself to get up at a reasonable hour the next morning.  Even if you're completely exhausted because you went to sleep at 3am.  If you sleep in, you'll just keep propagating the cycle.
