I've tried everything from foggers, granulars, tea tree oil, multiple sprays, powders, and so much more. They are everywhere! In my front yard, backyard and inside the house! I have little bites all over me! They're driving me crazy! And not to mention, we'll be selling our house soon, and we won't be able to due to the flea infestation. I have 2 cats who stay outside, so I would like something to kill fleas, not them. Someone, PLEASE HELP!!!! I'M DESPERATE!!!!

  1. Best advise ever - use the Frontline product for the cats... and this may sound a little weird but we sprinkled TABLE SALT ALL over the carpets and floors. You will have to wear flip flops around lol but im telling you we had the worse infestation ever - bites ALL over our bodies - I came on here for advise and I read about the salt.. It really does work... Just make sure you vacuum ever corner possible before you do it, then put the salt - they will be gone in a few days - I vacuumed up the salt like 3 days later and the re applied. Try it... Good LUCK!! FLEAS R THE WORST!!

  2. Do what most pros do...use an aerosol floor treatment.  You can get them at the pest store...vet office..groomers.  It contains an insecticide that will last around two weeks along with an IGR (insect growth regulator) that will be active for months. The insecticide will kill what fleas it contacts and when the fleas emerge from their pupa stage ...the igr wil kill the eggs and keep the larva from entering into the pupa stage. The ones that are already in the pupa stage will not be effected so vacuum until you are sick of your vacuum. This helps stimulate the ones that are ready to emerge from the pupa stage to emerge and get into the residual...get sucked up in the vacuum or jump on you or the pet where hopefully it won't last there long.  You will see suggestions, even by many pros to throw away the vacuum bag but research shows it doesn't need to be done and in 20 years of pest control I have never required it to be removed after vacuuming.  The pets need to be treated with either frontline or advantage.  The yard needs to be treated with a liquid treatment for quick knockdown and probably will be needed to be repeated a few times every 7-10 days.  If the house has a crawl space where animals have access underneath that area will need to be treated as well.

  3. um, chances are the cats keep bringing the fleas back.  First, get them some Advantage.  Advantage will not kill the cats.  Then get a flea spray again.
