I'm curious has to how you go about pitching an idea for a calendar. What the process is and where do I start. Photography is a side hobby of mine. And I take lots of nature pics and have a few theme-idea calendars that I would love to look into getting published...or least pitching the idea to the right company. But of course I have no clue where to start. Thank you!

  2. Hi...

I would go to your local bookstore or calendar shop/store and look through  as many calendars as you can, and get the contact details of the publishers. Then I would try either call them or email them, or if possibly, try to get some time with them. Even if you have to buy them lunch or a coffee somewhere. Just show that you're interested and keen to learn, ask good questions and spend your time listening. They'll tell you all about their industry I'm sure of it. Talk to the publishers, or photographers who are already doing it.

Everyone loves to talk about what they do. Try calendars.com to find publishers or search for 'calendar publishers' online. It takes a bit of work initially but could pay off big time in the future.

    I hope that helps. :)
