  1. You either wait till it drops off  your credit report entirely or you work to rebuild your credit carefully to prove that despite the bankruptcy you are a reliable debtor.

And next time, you manage your money carefully so you don't have to file for bankruptcy ;)

  2. It depends on your state and it stays on your report for 7 to 10 years after that if it is still on the report you can write to the credit  place and ask to have t removed.

  3. "Any account included in a bankruptcy remains on your personal credit report for a maximum of 7 years from the date the bankruptcy was filed. The bankruptcy itself, listed in the public record information section of a credit report, remains for either 7 years from the filing date if it was a Chapter 13, or 10 years from the filing date if it was a Chapter 7, 11 or 12."

Under current law it stays on for 10 years.

  4. A trick I found the credit repair companies use is: You sue all 3 credit reporting agencies. The agencies hire companies to provide information on BK's, the credit agencies dont want to disclose their source so they opt to remove the BK of your credit report. Its the only way to do it before the 7 years that it will remain on your credit.

    Good Luck!

  5. you wait 7-10 years like everyone else - you can't "get it removed" before then
