  1. DO NOT PUT DOWN PEPPER! how would you like it if you were a cat and got pepper into your eyes and it wouldn't come out and stung and was burning for hours. To be honest I have cats and there isn't a lot you can do, perhaps try and make your garden cat proof?( easier than it sounds I know), Cats hate citrus and orange smells, put some orange peels down, that stopped my cats from pooing in my potato patch.

  2. Theres a product that lets out a noise cats don't like and humans can't hear that may work. Not sure of the name.

    Orange peels.

    Water sprinklers

  3. NEVER use pepper spray or a bb gun on a poor little cat just buy a spray bottle and fill it with water then when u see the cats using ur garden as a little box spray them and they will kno its wrong

  4. WHAT YOU ARE PROPOSING IS A CRIME. YOU CANT KIDNAP A CAT. IF YOU ARE FOUND TO HAVE INJURE A CAT WITH A B B GUN, THAT IS ANOTHER CRIME.

THERE ARE PELLETS AND NATURAL SPRAY REMEDIES THAT KEEP CATS OUT OF THE GARDEN. I'M SURE YOU ARE MAN ENOUGH TO LOOK THROUGH THE INTERNET FOR THESE PRODUCTS.

REMEMBER YOU WOULD NT LIKE IT IF SOMEONE THREW POISONED MEAT OVER THE FENCE TO YOUR DOG.... WHAT MAKES YOU THINK IT IS OK TO HARM A NEIGHBORS ANIMAL.

HOW ABOUT TALKING TO THE NEIGHBOR ABOUT THEIR CAT AND THAT THEY CAN KEEP IT INDOORS.

  5. Er, I don't know why people are getting confused with pepper spray and the pepper you put on a garden to stop cats fouling! They are not the same at all and the latter will not hurt cats!

Since cats have a very keen sense of smell, the best thing to deter them is a smell they don't like. Lemon peel is good, but it might look a bit unsightly among your begonias.

Why not get something like 'Growing Success Cat Repellant' - it is made of aromatic plant oils that cats don't like on a base powder, which is not visable when scattered on the ground. It is kid and animal friendly (ie non-toxic) and natural and can be used on grass, flower beds and veggie patches.

I'm sure you can find aomething inexpensive like that in your local drugstore/hardware store.

  6. Can not use BB guns legally as that is animal abuse and can be prosecuted. Talk to your neighbors and see who has the cat culprits and go from there.

  7. Wouldnt cat p**p just make a good fertilizer?

  8. get a litter box and put the cat in the bathroom with the box her food and some toys stay in there for a few mins put her in the box then leave she will try to get out thought and NEVER SHOOT HER WITH A BB GUN AGAIN!

  9. have you seen them things called scare cats? i think thats what they are called, they are a black cat with glowing eyes and you put it in your garden and they are ment to scare the cats away!!

  10. From what I can remember, there are a few somewhat safe products you can try.  You can spray it all down with pepper spray, lemon juice, or cayenne pepper.  No guarantees though, I tried all 3 to keep my puppy from digging, she just ate the dirt because it became flavorful.  OH, and mothballs.

  11. First of all calm down and don't do anything stupid. If you kidnap your neightbors cats and "hold them for ransom" you could go to jail. Be an adult about it! Maybe you could talk to your neightbors LIKE AN ADULT and ask them if they could please keep them inside. If that's works, it would be a miracle... so here's what you can do:

To keep cats out of the garden, the best thing to do first is to lay some soft netting down in rows in between all the flowers. Placing several rocks at the edge of the netting to keep it in place better. You can sprinkle a thin layer of soil over the netting, and use decorative rocks so it‘s not obvious why they are there. If any cat tries to dig in the soil, their claws will get stuck in the netting. Next, you can apply some repellent to the rocks. You can purchase some cat repellent at any pet store. Cats don’t like the smell of citrus fruit, so it is an excellent deterrent for gardens and plants. Citrus scented cleaners can be another means of keeping cats out of your garden. Be aware that you will need to re-apply this occasionally since the scent will wash off with water.

Never use mothballs, because they can harm the cat. Mothballs are composed of naphthalene and/or paradichlorobenzene; both are toxic substances. By law in the US, pesticides can not be used for purposes other than stated on the label. Mothballs are a pesticide. Scattering them over the yard for repelling animals is definitely not on the label. Mothballs have been implicated in several poisonings of small children who mistake them for candy. The label almost certainly states that they are not to be placed where they can be accessed by children. They could also be hazardous for animals such as cats and dogs.

Also burying orange peels may deter cats, but it will attract other animals like raccoons.
