HOW DO I USE CHANNEL 9 ON MY CB FOR EMERGENCIES? ANY ANSWERS?

If you have an emergency all you have to do is broadcast your emergency until you get an answer then exchange the information that they will need to get you help .There used to be a  volunteer organization set up to monitor and handle this but I think that with cell phones and such it has become outmoded.You may just get faster help on channel 19 the one used by truckers.

Flip over to channel nine and key the mic each time you speak. Say, "Break channel nine for emergency response." You should get a "Go ahead". Say, "This is [YOUR-CALL-SIGN] requesting [fire,emt,police] at [location]. The rest is conversational question/answer/common-sense.
