I think you need an action replay, but i wouldn't go for it. they ruin your game.

If you need bells though, get a shovel and every day hit a rock. One will spew out some bells. Keep hitting it till it stops. You can get 20,000 max if you hit fast enough.

You can't do the weeds to bells cheat unless you have an Action Replay.There is a code for it and I wouldn't suggest one getting one unless you want to.My friend did it and he still has tons of bags left after he did that.Plus,Action replay can mess up your game if your not careful of the codes you use.If your not careful,then something could go bad,wrong,or very bad.Trust me, you don't want that to happen.

34,000 bells a day

In order to do this cheat, you must have 4 residents living inside your house. This involves the money rock, and is very simple.

Get the 8,500 bells from the daily rock with one of your characters, then use another and repeat.

If you get 8.5k with each character you should get 34,000 in total (you can leave the money on the ground for the desired character.

Remember that also, this can work daily, so you can keep setting the day forward one, and repeating. A good method for beginners in a season where you can't make a great deal of money from the available bugs and fish.

NOTE: To get 8.5k properly, you should do this:

That way, the impact from the shovel hitting the rock can't send you out of reach.
