HOW DO YOU DYE YOUR HAIR WHITE!?

ok ive been going crazy trying to figure out how to dye your hair WHITE!!!!

not bleach blonde I WANT WHITE

i know how to bleach my hair already...i cant tell you how many times ive dyed my hair blues, purples, reds and pinks

PLEASEEE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW I CAN DYE MY HAIR WHITEE

my hair color right now is a dark red, which im soon gunna be dying black and want to get white bangs

Bleach it, that's the only way. Even bleaching a little is horrible to your hair, so bleaching it all the way to white is gonna fry it.

It's just like bleaching blonde, except it just takes a while longer. However, since white is the absence of pigment, you can't dye it because dying it adding pigment.

I know someone who bleached their brown hair platinum blonde, and it was ruined. Whenever she combed it, pieces would fall out, not from the root but break off in tufts. I don't know what would happen to hair that was bleached white but it's probably even worse. I seriously don't suggest this.

going white is very very hard.

you cannot have any dye deposits in your hair. so you will have a hard hard time since your hair is red.

you need to strip out all the color in your hair and then nutralize the chems, your hair will end up very light blonde. then you literally use a white dye that will strip out any leftover color. its an expensive process, and very damaging. its only easy if your have naturally platinum blonde hair.

You will need a good professional to do it. First, do not dye the part that you want to be white black. Then depending on your hair, they will have to bleach your hair once or twice to a light yellow color. You cannot bleach your hair to true white or it would fall out. Then they will use a strong toner to alter the yellow to a white. It's likely to be a 3 step process since your hair is currently darker. I would not do it at one of those $8 haircut places, go to a really good salon with experienced colorists. It is really hard to have it done correctly.

You will first have to take the color deposit (the red you have now) out, by using "color fix", it can be found at beauty supply shops.  Then once the color is stripped, you can bleach up to a pale yellow colored hair, and then you will have to TONE your color to a white.  If you bleach it up to a white shade (which would require a second or THIRD application of bleach) you will RUIN your hair.  Dont do that!

Basically what you are doing is using a purple toner to cancel out the yellow that is currently in your hair, which allows for the white to shine.  The best toner is clairol professional: clairol creme toner range shade: 323# extra light platinum, you will need a developer for that as well so make sure you pick up a 20 volume or so (the ladies at the supply shop can help).  Also a mixing bowl and an applicator brush is good to grab while you are there.  

It may sound hard to do but once you get the swing of it, its very easy.  I love blondes, especially platinum (white) blonde!

i did that!

what you do is bleach your hair as light as possible

then use toner

(try manic panic virgin snow, de lorenzo or paint box whitening toner by fudge)

than it should go white

its a tricky thing though, mine didn't work properly because my bleaching wasn't even so make sure your hair is all the same colour before you use the toner.
