HOW DO YOU FIND A NEW PAPER ARTICLE FROM 1989 IN FT.LAUDERDALE FLA

My dad drowned in a lake at FPL (florida powe and lights) in 1989. we lived in ft.lauderdale FLA, my little brother was with him but he swam to shore. im wondering is there any way i can find that article either in the news papers or on the tv news from then? please any help is wanted and needed, even if you could help, his name was gerald keith meyers, thanks SOOOOOO much in advance!

go to the library They have all back newspapers as far back as they go most the time

I would contact the local library. Many times they have electronic copies of old newspaper articles. You should also contact the newspaper that ran the original article, they should have a copy.
