HOW DO YOU GET "DISCOVEREd"?

How do you get "discovered" for acting or singing? Even though i cant sing. So, maybe just acting. Anyways, how do you get "discovered" like all the other stars in the world?

get an agent:

google talent agencies in(wherever you live) if there are any in your city they will most likely appear there. if not, there are many good online agencies(make sure they are not a scam) never pay an agent before you get a job, only pay 10% of what you make after you get a job.

Perform in as many theaters as possible. The more you perform in public, the more recognition you receive. It takes time so don't  think it will happen over night or next  week. When people like your acting, they will recommend other people to view you, and eventually you will hit your "BIG BREAK" from all of your hard work.

BTW getting an agent wouldn't be a bad idea. Try searching up the Screen Actors Guild and look for their requirements. www.sag.org

well, it's probably very difficult, but start out with theater in your town, district, sate, and work your way up. in some big cities they often have auditions formaybe movies, or just some plays, but i think your best luck would be to search around in a big city...either that or stalk a producer, but then you might get arrested, so yeah, try big cities.

Ok. I'm 23 years old and I'm a Theatre Major. If you are trying to become and actor for fame, I would tell you to find another dream, because it will never happen. You have to choose acting because you genuinely love it and even then the chances of becoming a star are really low. No one gets discovered... actors go on numerous auditions, they go to places to network, they send their headshots to casting directors and theatre companies, they endure rejection after rejection because they love acting, it makes them fell complete.

If you genuinely want to be an actor, you need to get TRAINING, its extremely important. Enroll in a acting program at a good conservatory or college. You have to hone your skills and learn the craft. After you've done this, then you can begin to pursue acting, but I wouldn't expect to become a star.
