Collingwood annihilated the 2 previous premiers, Geelong and West Coast in successive weeks by over 100 pts, then meet the bottom side Melbourne who openly admit they only set themselves for ONE  game a year, the Queens birthday clash against the Pies.  The Melbourne Hype was front and back page news for a week re their 150 year celebrations, including a Saturday night dinner, then their 150 champions form a guard of honor, for the BOTTOM side to run out against Collingwood .

                      The Magpies coach was right,  to be bemused as to why Melbourne tried so hard to beat the Pies after failing in previous games by 60,70,and 80 points.  Malthouse was also correct, in suggesting his  Collingwood players could becoming "blockbustered" out, while now preparing for another, against Carlton, because the Blues had a come from behind win against Port.      ANYONE suggesting Collingwood has an easy  draw Don't Understand the Main Basic's of the AFL, and are simply DUMB, as to how the AFL structure the draw around Collingwood pulling crowds by way of "blockbuster" games week after week .   I have tipped Collingwood, again THE HUNTED  this week, by an arch rival,  to beat Carlton, in front of another capacity crowd , in another match of the round, however for this match,  they are unlikely to have 2 players withdraw 30 minutes before the game like last week !   (so thats wat I think) ! ! ! ! !

These two teams played 8 rounds back, Carlton won,  the blues were down at the time and surprised us all.  Footy is a funny game, who can say who will win.   Should be a good game.

I think I'll pick Carlton for this game. The one thing that the Port game gave them was confidence to run teams down.

With the Pies, the Melbourne game shows that they are not as good as they think.

Can't see Pies picking up the Carlton midfield

Pies do have an advantage in attack

I just have a feeling that the Blues will be up beating Port Adelaide at Adelaide. Sure, Collingwood won, but not convincing. Carlton didnt win convincingly either, but I reckon they will be really up after that win. Blues by 17 after a comeback =)

Collingwood never underestimate their competitors, and unlike Carlton who think they have won the premiership '08 after winning a few games, Collingwood are taking each game at a time and dont think about finals until the 3/4 mark of the season.

I think it could be a repeat of Pies vs WCE 100 pt thrashing...only sweeter coz it will be against Carlton :P

To answer the question: Collingwood always underestimate their opponents. They're also a few players short and Carl vs Coll is always a close and personal game. So i think Carlton will actually win it by 2 goals but it will be a tough one.
