HOW DO i MAKE MULTIPLE SELECTIONS ON THE KEYBOARD

I am on a website, they are asking me to make a selection from a number of items. Instead of selecting each item one at a time, is the a way to hold down a couple of keys so that I can make mutiple selections at once? I think there is, but I forgot how.

hold down your <CTRL> key while you click on each item.
