  1. what i would do, is i would try to find a tank at the fish store which has agressive fish that you like, for example, if you see like 3 triggers in a tank at the fish store and you like all of them, i would get them, because they're use to each other, it also depends on what kind of fish you get, if you get fish that only get to be a make size of 3-4 inches, i would say you could get around 7 or 8....but if you choose to get bigger fish like triggers or lionfish, i would say only around 3 or 4....just make sure you have plenty of rocks so each fish has its own territory.  It's also easier to indrocuse all of your aggressive fish at the same time, you dont want to introduce new fish after territories have been established....good luck

  2. The thing with aggressive fish is, they're aggressive. They will therefore not tolerate much else in the tank. In the case of Lionfish for instance, they cannot be kept with fish smaller than themselves. Your tank is too small for the Volitans Lionfish anyway. Its even a bit small for many of the Triggerfish species.

You may be ok for some of the puffer species and smaller moray eel types, and tankmates would depend on the species you choose.

  3. You do not want to have too many aggressive fish in one tank, especially because they are well.. aggressive. I suggest that you get about two SEMI aggressive fish, but nothing too bad. You also need to look at the size of the fish. Since you want to get aggressive fish, this eliminates getting any other docile fish to put in with them. I would like to help you in making the best decision possible, but if I were you I would lean back on getting only aggressive fish. Maybe get a couple that are semi aggressive, but not too large so that you can get more of a variety of fish in the tank. You should get a 150 gal tank if you want a community of fish to go in the tank. Otherwise, they will be crouded and unhappy. Remember, just some ideas.

I hope I've helped you. For further questions you can e-mail or post more details.

  4. Ultimately only one. The one that kills all the others.

  5. Depends on the fish, some aggressive fish can live together but not with non aggressive fish. Or you may be able to stuff a small shark in there. Just joking about the shark. I have seen sand sharks in large tanks but not adequately large. One store I pass a lot has one and the poor thing can't even turn around in his tank.
