  1. You need the weight of a m³ of air and of helium. Subtract the two for the lifting power.

    Densities (will vary with temperature)

    Hydrogen gas 0.089 kg/m³

    Helium gas 0.18 kg/m³

    Air 1.28 kg/m³

    So subtracting for helium, 1.28 - 0.18 = 1.1 kg of lift, or 1100 grams

    For hydrogen, 1.28 - 0.09 = 1.19 kg of lift, or 1190 grams
