WELL, I HONESTLY DON'T THINK HE LIKES YOU. I HAVE GIRLFRIENDS THAT SAY "AH ITS JUST MUSIC, I STILL LIKE HIM" THATS c**p AND I WILL SAY THAT IF A WHITE MAN SANG A SONG CONDEMING BLACK WOMEN, HE WOULD LOOSE HIS CAREER. i BET THE KRAMER GUY AND IMUS ARE DONE. BUT ICE CUBE WILL KEEP RACKING CASH OFF OF YOU. SNOOP DOGG EVEN SAYS SO IN "GO TO CHURCH" BY ICE CUBE. GO TO YOUTUBE, LOOK UP THESE SONGS AND LISTEN AND THEN COME BACK AND TELL ME DO YOU STILL LIKE HIM?

  1. He is just angry because his community is garbage.  If he lived in compton now with all his money, they would rob him blind

  2. just the kind typically referred to as White Trash.

  3. Never listened to him before, really, so I didn't have a defined perception of him.  I looked up the lyrics (and read them without the music) and while I am a full supporter of freedom of speech, I do find the lyrics highly offensive.  Would I do anything about it?  No.  Freedom of speech.  Will I buy any of his music?  Never.

But racism is all about ignorance, and he's coming off as highly ignorant with this song.  One would think that in 2008 racism should be dead and yet here is evidence that it lives on.

EDIT-- Hmm, another poster brought up a good point.  When does it stop being freedom of speech and when does it start becoming hateful speech?  Personally, I think the song is rather hateful and racist but I have to admit I don't know where one line (freedom of speech) ends and the other begins (racist speech).

  4. I didn't listen to him before, and I'm not going to listen to him now.  I'm not a fan of what he says, but I'm not going to condemn him for it.  Maybe it's because I'm in an apathetic mood right now and I don't really care.  I will say though that what he said bugs me less than the things that happened to Michael Richards and Don Imus.  I'm all for freedom of speech, even if it is ignorant, hateful speech, and I think Ice Cube, Michael Richards, and Don Imus should ALL be able to speak their minds equally.

  5. i never liked him in the 1st place... but now i know i wont buy any thing by him....  im not a cave bit*h... what ever that means

  6. I just looked up the lyrics....wow.

    Seriously, wow.

  7. I want to say thanks for letting me know about this.  I had not heard the song but just looked it up.  I used to like Ice Cube as far back as Tank Girl or maybe before.  After that song I wouldn't throw a cup of water on him if he was on fire... Now whose the B*****!

  8. yes you do have the freedom of speech....but hate speech is not allowed...people need to quit thinking that freedom of speech means you can say whatever....it doesnt...using racial slurs is illegal...freedom of speech does not give you that right

  9. STOP ******* SHOUTING!!!

  10. I actually do.  It's freedom of speech.

I hear enough songs about black and black men dissing white women, black women or women in general.  What's the difference?

Imus is back on the air, just an FYI.
