  1. 4 times a day

    Breakfast time

    Lunch time

    Dinner time

    a midnight snack

  2. it totally depends on how old they are

  3. First of all what are you feeding them??

I'm  going to assuming something like layers pellets or Layers mash?

Those are the two best types of food for your chickens if you want them to lay eggs

btw (corn is bad for laying hens)

a handful per bird twice daily . .  should suffice but it all depends on how hungry they are and what other food they are given

chickens should also have fresh greens and veg daily (not human food)

favorites of my birds are *swedes, *cabbage, and watermelon also apples =) avocados should NEVER be given as they are highly poisonous!

so if they have some sort of veg or fruit for the rest of the day (for example a cabbage hung up for them) The two handfuls should be enough per bird. . .

But scatter it around so it keeps them busy ;)

also fresh clean water must be available all day (not necessary at night though )

also grit must be supplied too

  4. I'd give them as much as they want, a feeder filled with laying pellets, some scratch, that they can, of course, scratch at, and, the best, chopped up leftovers, such as lettuce, cabbage, fruits, bread products, onions, all veggies, etc. (They also need grit for their digestion) . We give them everything, but not egg products, or chicken products. They like meat, and need the protein. But our chickens have access to pellets at all times. They won't get fat.
