  1. In 1906, 1 dollar than is now worth 500-600 dollar now. So a nickel would be worth around 25-30 dollar in 1906

  2. There are other factors to be considered.  The condition of the coin and the mint mark of the coin.

In 1906 there were 38,613,725 nickles minted.

An EF-40 coin (extremely fine) is valued about $18.00.  To be EF all details on the coin should be sharp.

If it's MS-60 (Uncirculated) it has a value of about $90.00, and if it is a Proof coin the value can be as high as $375.00.

If the coin has been in circulation, the condition will probably be between a G-4, no details, to a F-12, (all letters in "LIBERTY" are clear.  The range of value would then be between.60 to $3.00.

    I hope this helps.

  3. WikiAnswers says it is worth between a $1 to $70 (if in good condition).
