  1. Have you tried CareerCruising? It's a site that gives you tons of information on different careers. Although it's a paid site, you can get user name and password from your school, or just by searching online. (Yes, I tried.)

Anyways, here's a paragraph extracted from the site about pilot earning.

"The range of salaries earned by pilots is huge. Starting salaries can be around $20,000 for newly qualified pilots. The average salary for all pilots is somewhere between $55,000 and $70,000 a year. However, senior pilots who work for large national or international airlines can make over $200,000 a year.

The type of work a pilot does strongly affects their income. Pilots who work as instructors often earn between $15,000 and $50,000 a year. Those who work for the Canadian Armed Forces can earn over $65,000 5 years after completing their training. Income levels for pilots flying large commercial aircraft vary according to the type of employer they work for. Those working for large airlines average well over $100,000 a year, while those flying regional carriers average about $65,000 or $70,000 a year. "

So, monthly, the least you can earn is 4583.33, with an annual salary of $20,000.

    Some education details...

"High school students interested in this career should take courses in mathematics, physics, and English. Although it may not currently be a requirement with all employers, completing a high school diploma is strongly recommended.

Education, training, and licensing requirements for professional pilots vary depending on the type of work they are doing. Generally, however, you must have a strong command of written and spoken English, graduate from a certified pilot training school, and have the appropriate commercial or airline transport pilot’s licence and endorsements.

Not surprisingly, the first step in becoming a pilot is learning to fly an airplane. A potential pilot must complete ground school and flight training to earn a private pilot’s licence. Once you have this licence and have accumulated enough flight hours you can obtain a commercial pilot’s license, which allows pilots to offer their services in exchange for a fee.

Because you must accumulate a certain number of flight hours before you can acquire the license needed to fly large aircraft, many pilots begin their careers working as flight instructors or flying sightseers in small planes. These types of positions allow them to accumulate flight experience without having to pay for the flight time themselves.

To fly large planes for airlines, pilots typically need to have an airline transport pilot’s license, multiple engine rating, and instrument rating. These ratings take many years of experience to acquire. Airlines may also require several thousand hours of flying experience, an advanced training ground school course on aviation subjects, and/or previous commercial flying experience.

All licenses and ratings are issued by Transport Canada. Training and preparation for these tests may be done through community colleges, private flying schools, or the military. See below for links to colleges and the Other Resources section for links to private schools and the air force.

Several colleges and universities across the country offer undergraduate degrees and diplomas and certificates in pilot training. Some employers, including major airlines, may show a preference for applicants who have completed some post-secondary education.

To become a pilot with the Canadian Forces you need a university degree in any discipline. Thereafter, you will be trained on the job."
