  1. A stop is a stop when the vehicle halts all forward movement.  The officer told you to fight the ticket because that is easier than arguing about it during the traffic stop.  The speed you were driving before or after has nothing to do with the "failure to stop at a stop sign" ticket.  If you had been speeding then you might have gotten a speeding citation.  Your chance of getting the ticket dismissed is pretty slim.  If you do go to court the officer may or may not show up, which is not required.  Regardless, it is up to you to prove to the judge that you did stop and the officer is wrong.  To be honest, your only hope is that the officer has a bad rep with the judge and the judge believes you.

Unfortunately I know a couple officers that know matter how many arrests they make or how solid the case is, the prosecutors never charge it because the officer is, more or less, a s***w-up.

  2. ok you judging that you had enough time to stop and look both ways is really not the question here. You just said "maybe a fast one" There is the doubt right there. The key word being MAYBE . I am not shouting at you just highlighting the word maybe. My suggestion is to go to court, and see if you can plea bargain the charge down to no stop lamps. That means one of your break lights were out or both break lights were out. If its your first infraction, most likely they will do it. My advice is don't do a fast stop at the stop sign. Count one one thousand one , one one thousand two, one one thousand and three, and do that fast, and you most asuradly will never get a stop sign ticket. Good luck!

  3. no they wont. the insurance company is not informed untill after you are fined if at all. but the officer still shouldnt have ticketed you since most if not every single driver on the road dosent wait 3 seconds. so try to fight it even though he technically can ticket you it did not mean u deserve it or should get a ticket for it.

  4. You said you were stop because you failed to stop for the stop sign by a police officers. You were given a citation ticket for a violation. You want to fight and taken off your record. IT IS ONLY A TICKET FOR TRAFFIC violation. I do not understand why you people are so frustrated and so much concerned with just a mere traffic violation, there are more PRESSING PROBLEM out there in these world but here only a traffic ticket brought out the evil in the pandora's box within you. Just pay the fine if you have too and forget about it.

YOU SAID you didn't do anything wrong, how can you be sure. Everybody makes mistakes even you and me, the police man in these case have a good reason to note the incident because he is outside in the streets while you are inside your car. One good example there is trouble in the street corner but you have a good view with it in your own house up stairs, but do you know exactly what happen there? Of course not, you see but definitely no idea what is going on, because you are inside your house, those people in the street corner have a good idea what happen, so you have to go out and asked IS IT NOT? The same goes with the police and the drivers of each car. Each driver would not admit the mistakes and keep pointing fingers to other drivers also CORRECT? These are typical human behaviour.

YOU WILL NOT ADMIT mistake naturally, keep telling the policeman you didn't do a wrong thing out there. A note in your word is that you came to a full stop but with additional note=maybe a fast one that is. But add fast 'but i had enough time to stop'  how would you know exactly the difference between seconds and minutes unless you are timing it with your stop watch. You can't.

In my own opinion, are you a woman? I hope this will  not upset you so much-  A WOMAN DRIVER IS THE MOST DANGEROUS DRIVER IN THE WORLD.

  5. a complete stop means the vehicle completely stops moving with no forward motion at all if that is what you did then fight it
