I have a two year old daughter who really hates keeping her clothes on especially her diaper. We stay at home most of the days so it’s really hard to get her to stop. At night time forget about it, the min. I walk out of the room from tucking her in she’ll strips down oh so fast!

What can I do, I don’t think she is ready for potty training yet... then again maybe I am oh so wrong? HELP!

  1. I was told duky tape worked well for me love, j/k so the small love is 2 well maybe she just might be ready for the whole training journey of the potty, I would recomend starting the training process.

  2. she is old enough to start potty training but until then, duct tape.

  3. Start potty training her. If she doesn't like wearing a diaper than thats a sign that she is most likely ready. Just try it wouldn't hurt. As for the clothing issue tell her that its a rule in your house you have to wear clothes. Maybe make a chart and each time she keeps her diaper and clothes on she gets a sticker and when she gets a certain number of stars she gets a reward.

    Good luck

  4. Duct tape.  It seems to be the popular answer today.  A friend of mine had to duct tape her daughters diapers around the waist around this age because they would p**p-paint.  It kept them from sticking their hands in their diapers.

She may be ready for potty training.  I would try to introduce it.  You obviously know best, though, so if you really don't think she's ready, don't push it.  It couldn't hurt to try it though, right?  :)

    Good luck!

  5. My little brother was being potty trained at 2 yrs old, and I bought him some really cool underwear, like Diego or Power Rangers, because he loved those shows. During the day, I let him in the backyard in his new-too-cool-to-pee-in underwear and left the potty thing next to the door. I told him that he can't pee in his underwear because he will upset whichever character was on his underwear. At first he did have a few accidents in them, but soon he was at the potty site to pee. He was so worried about his underwear that he didn't want to do anything in them. Ahaha. Good Luckkk!

  6. Put the diaper on her backwards. You wont have the trouble with duct tape like having to cut it off or skin irratation.

I put them on my kids backwards and they didnt even remeber to take it off. I think its the tabs. they like to pull them.

Who doesnt like to be nakey?

  7. my son is 2 1/2... i started introducing the potty and what it is used for and sitting him on it when he was 11 months old... now he is potty trained 100% overnights and day time... some accidents if he is in the car too long....

its never too early!!.. i mean they have to have to be able to sit up but it will take about a year to potty train... and longer the older she gets!!!

only from my experiance and having alot of friends with kids... STOP buying diapers, have her go naked... she is ready!! she is telling u she is ready...

my son learned better with walking around naked or with a t-shirt and a potty in the play area.... and lots of reward and praise like he just did the best thing EVER...

if u have the means get a potty or two for her... for around the house.  if not, get anything she can step up on for the bathroom and help her with her balance at first then she will get the hang of it

feel free to email me with any questions

  8. You should try potty training, she is older now.

  9. I think you may find that she is more than receptive to potty training if she hates the diaper so much.  My daughter was dry from about 20 months (during the day) because she HATED wearing diapers.  Bribery and corruption go along way, I bought her a princess outfit but told her that Princess use the potty.  Tony Ross's Princess and the Potty books are great for little girls.

Now is the time, prepare the 'throne' for the little princess.

  10. well, if she doesnt want her nappy on, then get her a potty, put it i a room she spends most her time in, and tell her what its for...being carfeul not to get angry if she does her business elswhere, don't force her though, let her at it and see how she goes.  reward her with a round of applause, hugs and kisses or by putting on her favourite tv program. you won't know if she is ready unless u try it out.

  11. Two is the perfect age to start trying to potty train, especially if she wants that thing off of her! Try pull ups.

  12. It is not necessary that she is ready for potty train for her to take off the diaper. She might find it uncomfortable to wear diaper. My girl was like that.

However at her age, you can give it a try to potty train.

At night, I let her go to sleep with no diaper. But when she is sound asleep, I put on the diaper for her and she doesn't know that it's put on. So that solves the problem of bed wetting.

Since you are mostly at home, potty train is much easier as you can let her be around the house without diaper.

Using duct tape might work but it only stops her from taking the diaper off but she would still be irritated by the diaper. I think it's too torturing for her to put up with trying to take off but can't because of the duct tape.

    Good luck.

  13. duck tape, im totally serious. my aunt has toddler triplet girls and she has to duck tape the diaper so they cant get it off. It really works. But yes this does look like a crazy answer

  14. This is a stage that most babies go through. Be patient, it takes time to find the perfect soution for your baby. Try putting the diaper on backwards and using duck tape to fasten it since it has a stronger hold. This does the trick most of the time. At night, put her to bed in an outfit that is difficult for her to take off. Some babies have trouble with zippers, so you could try a zippered pajama. If she can take that off easily, try diaper covers. They are more difficult to take off because they fit more like underwear than shorts, but eventually she will figure them all out unfortunately. You will have to switch every so often so that she doesnt figure it out so fast. You could try pullups as well, they are harder to take off.

I would introduce the potty chair every time she takes off her clothes. Dont force her to go, just try to get her to sit there without her pants for a few minutes each time, and when she gets up, praise her for "sitting on the potty chair". Afterwards, put pullups on her, or a diaper with underwear over them and tell her what a big girl she is for sitting on the potty chair and wearing big girl panties. She will like the praise, and the more you praise the underwear or pullups that she is wearing, the more likely she will want to keep them on. I recommend any of the pullups that have the disappearing shapes on the front. (not the ones with a lot of dark color on the back though they stain clothes) Every so often ask her if she still has  hearts (or whatever shape is on the pullup) if she does, praise her for being a big girl and keeping her big girl pants dry. This will really help get her ready for potty training, and encourage her to keep her diaper on. As for the rest of her clothes, sometimes letting her pick out the outfit helps, because it will be special to her, or putting a dress on her might help (make sure there is a diaper cover under it so that she does not try to take the diaper off under the dress. Tell her how beautiful she looks in the dress every chance you get, she will want to keep it on if whe is getting praise for it.

    Good luck!!!!!!!

  15. If she doesn't want the diaper anymore maybe she is ready for potty training!

  16. No little kids like being naked. My son was the same way. I put diapers on him and kept onesies on him. I also kept him in clothes he couldn't get out of.  overalls, onesies, etc. Keep her occupied, anything to keep her hands busy will keep her mind off clothes! Give her a dolly she can dress up or take the clothes off, mayb this will keep hers on!?

  17. duct tape was going to be my suggestion too, just make sure you have a pair of (dull ended) scissors to cut it with when you change her.

  18. at two years old, if she is taking her diaper off by her self it is definatally time to go buy a potty and some pretty panties and get to work.  All 4 of my girls started at 2.

  19. She could be ready to potty train and it might be worth a try. You also might want to try designating "naked time" most little ones want time to be naked. Let her have some time during the day where she knows she can run around without clothes or a diaper and just be naked. It really works! My son is the same way. He still pretty little so he hasnt figured out how to strip down but when its time for a change he tries to get away as quick as he can so he can just be naked. It drives me nuts so I just started letting him have some time each day, sometimes a couple times a day where he gets to be naked. Also when you potty train theres a way to do it where you let them be naked and bring them to the potty every time they start to go. My aunt did this with her daughter because she could only train her on weekends she was so busy with work and keeping the house up as a single mom. Every weekend she would let her run around naked and then when she started to go potty she brought her right over to it, she used one of the little traning ones and kept in it the living room where she played so it was always close by. It worked so well it only took a few weekends before she was just in pull-ups.

  20. I would say shes ready for big girl undies.  you could try pull ups but chances are she will just take those off as well.  Is she having accidents at night?  Most girls are a sinch to potty train.  Try getting her a little potty of her own and some big girl undies. Tell her that the only time she "strip" down is when she wants to give her potty some pee pee. I know sounds a little crazy but it works.  Good luck!

  21. Duct tape.  I'm not trying to be a smartass.  It really does work.  It's just about the only thing that they can't seem to take off.

    Good luck.

  22. DUCK TAPE.  It's the best.  They can't get that off no matter what.  It really works.
