  1. http://www.fujitsu-siemens.co.uk/rl/serv... if you don't have the disks post again

  2. hi billy

normally you would need a recovery disk, however unless your p.c supports the partition method of recovery which involves pressing a f-key(f10/f12) and following the prompts then you may need to try the following

    1) if your p.c is still under warranty then Fujitsu Siemens should be able to send you a replacement recovery disk free of charge, they will ask for a 6 digit number which can be found on your p.c case, alternatively if your pc is out of warranty then they can still supply you with a recovery disk for a nominal charge

2)since a recovery disk is in essence a personalized windows xp disk with your p.c,s specific drivers and software on the disk then theres no reason why you cant install a windows xp disk, and before you install it use a program such as "driver magician" to back up your drivers to cd or dvd,you can download "driver magician" from http://www.drivermagician.com/Lite.htm

note: if you have no windows xp disk you can use a friends xp disk, however when it comes to activation, instead of using his/her product key use yours, and as long as yours is genuine then windows will succesfully activate

this works because the disk is just a transport for installing the operating system, the product key is what you pay for, without the product key the disk is useless

for fujistu siemens recovery disk sales go to http://www.gennersales.co.uk/recovery/fu... can sell you recovery disks for you specific pc

              also try http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Restore_a...

                   good luck mate !

  3. Check the partitions on the HDD and see if there is a restore partition on it

  4. Well you need you discs to recover it to factory setting unless you pc has the recovery format on your pc which is f8 or f4 on boot up if you lost your cd phone up your company
