HOW do you get people to sponsor you?

I have a little 'thing' that I do yearly and this year I'm hoping to maybe get some sponsors. I am only 10 and have no idea what so ever on how. So all I want is maybe 1000 $, some T-shirts, and PERHAPS /green/ snacks. Something healthy of course.

By green I mean environmentally friendly. The whole idea is to stop global warming. Oh, and check out my other question about the T-shirts!

Start contacting environmental groups via email or phone and describe to them what you do. Don't ask for money and whatever upfront, just say that you'd like to be sponsored or have them present at your 'thing'. Google can help you find those groups.

Approach local businesses. ex: Grocery store. ask to talk to the manager, or obtain their phone number
