St. Louis' Busch Stadium was torn down and rebuilt within an offseason, and it takes Montreal like 4 years to add on 5000 seats?! whats up with that

  1. The only reason to add more seats to a stadium is to sell them. If the Allouettes were playing to sellout crowds every game than adding an additional 5000 would be a no brainer. But since the only need them for two or three games a year it would cost a team on a tight budget too much cash. So when they need 50,000 the go to the OWE.

  2. Uh, the Als do play to sellout crowds every game, and have been doing so ever since they moved to Percival Molson.  Personally, I haven't heard much talk of them expanding the stadium, though it would make a lot of sense to do so.  I can't say that this is four years in the making, but the expansion of their current stadium, or the move to a new, larger one is long overdue.

  3. Molson beer is stronger than Busch, which is 4%.

My guess is that they really don't want a collapse like at the OLYMPIC Stadium.
