HOW: remove the lock cylinder from a 1950 Dodge?

I just bought a 1950 Dodge Wayfarer from the original owner with a clear title and lost keys. the trunk as well as the doors are not locked but I cannot attempt to start the can until I can rekey the ignition switch. How do I remove the lock cylinder portion of the ignition from the switch? It is already removed from the dash and suspended by the wires and a cable.

using a paperclip push the hole in the cylinder and turn the lock to acc it should come out

unhook the wires and take it to a locksmith. the door you need to remove the inner door panel then reach up and unhook the keeper. but if the trunk is open then just take the lock out of it.should use 2 different keys one for ignition one for outer locks
