I am a heavy hitter and i love puting topspin when i hit but i have never broke a string. I've seen other players who break strings all the time and they dont hit as hard as i do. I currently use the blue wilson nCode racquet, the n4 and i still have the strings that the racquet manufacturer prestrung on the racquet?

  1. use the base ball instead of the teniss ball and you will see.

    haha

  2. You may think you're hitting the ball "hard" but really you are just hitting with a lot of topspin, when you use topspin you are brushing up on the ball with your racquet instead of hitting through it as you would with a flat shot. So in a way having wicked topspin is saving you a lot of cash :)

  3. it's really a matter of where you hit the ball on your racket, the type of strings you have, how tight you have your strings..... but even tho you don't break them. you still need to get them restring ever once in a while

  4. Acutally hitting with topspin helps brake your strings.  But, usually the strings that the manufacturer puts on the racket are really really durable.  Oh yeah, and get a new racket, the n4 sucks, that's why they sell it at costco and that is why they were discontinued.

  5. Depends on what the strings are made of.  Synthetics like nylon are pretty indestructable for the average player.
