I won on Gamesville.com playing Magic 21...they need your phone number, address, name, birthdate, and winning date, also your social security # I guess to claim the money, but it's so hard now days to trust people with giving social security number out to people you don't know, but I would really love to claim the prize if gamesville.com is a safe place, I won $4558 I was playing magic 21 and I hit the jackpot and it came up with a liablity form...How can I find if gamesville.com is fraud or not..I heard that internet gambling is illegal...so then gamesville illegal? I dont know how that falls...they said they use marketing online ads and give the players the cash from the marketing..anyone ever won or no someone who did, would hate to give up $5000 dollars but really scared of identifty theft..what do I do?

  1. Congratulations! Gamesville is fine.

US law requires them to get your SS# to payout any big wins, they will report your win to the IRS and you will have to pay taxes on the winnings.

Give them what they want and collect the money. If you are worried about Identity Theft, sign up with Lifelock, or something similar, with all that money you won!

  2. I wouldn't risk the chance. as tempting as that is...You never know.

I went to check out the website you posted.

and got 16 spyware and 16 cookies from just the front page! thats not good...

If nobody has played on that website before and got $ then dont do it.

    you'll regret it :[

  3. leave your social security number out.they can keep their cash if thats what it takes, but you can risk it,it maynot be fraud but it can fall in the wrong hands if their encryption isn't strong.unlike online casinos where they use the same encryption that banks use...so hacking into an online casino is as hard as hacking into a bank system.you win more cash in an online casino as well as bonus for your deposit.

  4. i dont think gamesville.com is fraud

because they have their site up since 1996, they are one of the oldest online gaming site

  5. DONT GIVE UR SOCIAL OUT!!! only give it out when you know you can trust who you're giving it to, and why would they need it anyways?? I don't think its a good idea
