  1. Peru is twice the size of France or the state of Texas, extending between the equator and 18°S. It has a long coastline on the Pacific Ocean and is bordered by Ecuador on the north, Brazil and Bolivia on the east, and Chile on the south.

Simply put, the northernmost part of Peru is actually on the equator itself- look at it on a map!

  2. go to

    www.wikipedia.com

for all your school questions look it up by yourself i am your teacher and will flunk you if you don't, see you in class . Ms biz.

  3. Well is about 30 minutes flying from the northern area of Peru, if you really would like to be right there on the Equator then I will suggest you to go to Quito, there is a huge monument that is build right on the equator, there is a beautiful equatorian city call "Ciudad equinocial" and even has a museum and balcony to see  everything, just go for it you won't regret it, once in Ecuador there are many interesting places to visit, like the Galapagos Islands and Guayaquil city, both places are a "Must see" go to tripadvisor.com for further info.

Guayaquil's airport is open 24 hours and free shuttles are available just call your hotel, from Peru is very easy to get to Guayaquil non stop and then take a domestic flight to Quito or you could fly straight to Quito both services are availables.

  4. Peru is part of the Equator. It's Capitol city  is on it. Their days  and nights are the same 12 hours. Trees of the same species can have blossoms and be fruiting while others are losing their leaves and are going dormant .

  5. The northenmost tip of Peru (which is province of Loreto) is 0 degrees 1minute 4.32 seconds from the Equator line, so it is not technically "on" the equatorial line.
