HOw much to charge?

How much should my dad charge to cater to a group of 50 people.

The only thing he is serving is Shrimp Salad

I'd charge between $3-5 per person, so anywhere in the range of $150 to $250

He should figure out how much it costs him to make the shrimp salad for 50 people.  Figure out what 45% of that is add up his time in hours at ten bucks and hour and then charge the combined total.  Most catering groups run about a 45% food cost.  

So if the salad costs $75.00 in ingredients (45% of that would be 33.75) , and it takes him 4 hours to make (at $10 per hour) he would charge $148.75..   so $150.
