  1. ALWAYS make sure you are using a secure site.  In Internet Explorer. you can tell if a site is secure by looking for a small lock in the lower right hand corner of your browser next to the globe symbol.  Another way to tell would be that the http:// reads https://.  Make sure you see at least one of these security signs.  Also make sure that you are making purchases from reputable sites.  If a site takes paypal, use paypal for the purchase (make sure you are actually on the paypal site [www.paypal.com] before entering personal information).  Try to only purchase things from sites that you know are safe.

  2. How do you know at the store down the street that they don't take down your number and charge up your card?  You just need to monitor your account for unusual activity.  I have been shopping on-line for nearly ten years and have never had any problems that weren't easily resolved.  Legitimate businesses would not do something to damage their reputation.  Trust another human being to do the right thing.

  3. Yes if you are dealing with shady company, or shady websites.  You basically have to do your homework when purchasing and sending money on line.   Know the company you are dealing with, and use a reputable company to pay on line, like Paypal etc.  Just have to do your homework.

  4. You  can  log  onto  your  credit  card  account  the  next  day  and  see   how  much  they  charged  to  your  account ,

Although ,  most  places  post  the  charge  amount

( item  plus  shipping  and  taxes  if  any )  on  your  checkout  page .

On line  shopping  can  be  just   like  a  store ,

Get   home ,  unpack  the  product  and  find  out   it  is  NOT   what  you  thought  it  was  going  to  be  like .

    Good  Luck ,

FYI :    Use  Amazon  or   Target.com  or  some  other  established  site  that   can  do  refunds  if  you  do  not  get  what   you  were  expecting .

( and  read  the  product  description  and  fine  print  CAREFULLY )

  5. hmmm dont know, give me your credit card number and i might help you out with that

  6. Credit Card fraud can take place anywhere online and off!

Dishonest people and businesses are exist everywhere!

What I am saying is, there is no more or less safety buying on or off line.  You wouldn't walk into some shady looking place on the street and hand them your credit card, so use that same logic when shopping online.

When shopping online it is best to buy from well recognized site like Walmart, Amazon and the ones in Yahoo shopping.  If you see any charges you feel you didn't make report them to your card company immediately.  In Online stores you usually get a confirmation on the screen that your card has been charged on when it will be and the amount.  You will probably also get an email confirmation.

Products are shipped by UPS,Fed EX, USPS, and DHL and would be shipped to the address you provide to the seller online.

Any online store or website that would be foolish enough to cheat someone, would be found out very quickly and the word would spread across the internet not to shop there!

Shopping with a credit card online is the safest way to shop online.  You would not want to sent cash in the mail and if you mailed a check or money order they could you keep it and never send the merchandise.

    Enjoy shopping on the internet!

  7. If you are shopping for a well known place they will be honest. I have never had a problem buying anything on line. When you purchase your item it will ask for the shipping address and you will then give them the address you wish for them to ship it to. Also if you do make a purchase be sure to print out the screen that confirms your purchase and shows the total amount that you have authorized to pay. That way if there is any trouble you can prove to your credit card company how much money you gave them. Hope this helps.
