You've known this person for awhile, but they still give short answers. They listen to you when you talk and respond. They really don't talk about their life. They always say "good" and "okay" and ask you how everything's going and show sympathy or happiness for you and accept what you say w/o showing judgement. You know there's probs in their life but everything is always good and okay.

  1. Maybe they don't want to bore you or burden you with their complaints and problems.  Or maybe they're waiting for you to ask about their lives, so they know you're really interested.

  2. whatever faults your friends have love them for their positive points and don't dwell on the ones you don't like--if you ever  need someone to listen to you and not be judgmental and just listen, your friend would be great!  think of all your friends you have that overlook your faults?

  3. My husband had a friend like this.  Eventually, he accepted the fact that his friend wasn't going to change, and while they're still friends, found some other friends who will be more open and honest about what's going on in their lives.  You can't change other people - but you can make your own decisions about what your response will be.

  4. well, if they do not want to share their life and problems let them be!!!

  5. A true friend is one who doesnt pry and stick there nose into your business or relationship or anything else thats personal...they enjoy your company and will til you start snooping into their private lifes.....so, just enjoy the moment with them and mind your own business...nuff said!!!!!!!

  6. Some people are just very private - they care very much what is happening in your life, they just dont' care to share what is happening in theirs. You just have to accept that about them and continue to be their friend in case they ever do let anything slip that you can help them with.

  7. Let me get this straight. You are criticizing a person for not wanting to burden you with their problems? A person has a right to privacy. Your talking too much about your life does not create an obligation for them to do the same. Sounds like a kind person whose boundaries you should respect.
