it goes as far as the Windows XP screen with the rolling bars, reverts to a blue screen with the following message STOP: c0000218 (Registry File Failure) The registry cannot load the hive (file): \systemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE or its log or alternate, It is corrupt, absent, or not writeable.

Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance.
The naotebook did not come with a system restore disk.
What do I do?
